Today we went through registration in tech without a problem. Did our calibration run; the truck is running really well. We had to work on a few other teams’ cars to help them out. One of my teams had speed issues that we think we have it sorted out. Most of the day yesterday was tech Inspection and final prep. Most teams were out in the parking garage, working on their cars and helping each other out.
Tomorrow morning we will have our mandatory driver and navigator meeting. And then we will do the trophy run in the afternoon, which is a short run for the day. That will determine the outcome of any ties if there are any, and it's a good practice run for everybody
I believe there are 142 cars in the race this year, with lots of diversity: Volkswagen Bugs, Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, Thunderbirds. There are a lot of 1930s Fords: Model A and Deuces. It is quite an eclectic collection of cars. An American La France fire truck that has been cut down into a Speedster; the car is named The Beast. It is massive. I will send pictures soon.
