Great Race Blog June 17, 2026. Three Days Until the Start!

Today, we left New England and flew here to Springfield, Illinois, on Wednesday. After multiple delays at the airport, we arrived at the hotel. At the same time, the tornado warning sirens began going off and we were herded into the basement for about thirty minutes until the potential tornado passed. There were a few confirmed touchdowns in the area, but we were all fine.
